15 Step Health Care Plan

I've been watching the debates on government health care, and as I watch, I wonder how much health care we'd even need if the following became a reality in this country.

If these simple ideas were followed, the breadth and scope of health care needed in this country would be minimized by such a huge degree that there would be no need for debate on government health care whatsoever.

If you've never heard of some of the things I'm mentioning, feel free to Google and discover the facts yourself.

So here they are:

1. Every able bodied person in the US would exercise for at least 15 minutes a day.
2. Exercise was a required subject in schools-from preschool through graduate school.
3. Deep breathing exercises were taught to kids as well as adults - after all, 70% of toxins are eliminated through breath.
4. Flouride was removed from drinking water, along with all the other harmful chemicals that find their way to the faucet.
5. Shots with toxic mercury, cadmium and squalene were no longer given - many believe these potions have skyrocketed autism and Alzheimers to record levels.
6. Cancer causing pesticides and herbicides were no longer allowed to be sprayed on fruits and vegetables.
7. High fructose corn syrup was banned from all foods and beverages.
8. Genetically modified foods were outlawed.
9. MSG and other corn derivitives were no longer allowed to be added to foods.
10. All meat and dairy had to be grass fed and hormone free.
11. Teach courses in school on how to live to 100 years in great health.
12. Mandate removal of all carcinogens from toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorants, soaps and shampoos.
13. Mandate removal of all carcinogens from household cleaners and laundry detergents.
14. Make it a felony for a pregnant women to use recreational drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
15. Teach organic gardening on television as a free public service.

On another interesting note, Mayo Cardiologist, Dr Stephen Kopecky cites research which concluded that four simple lifestyle changes can cut the risk of dying of a heart attack or stroke by 40% over the next four years.

They are:
Don't smoke
Keep your weight down to a BMI at or below 25
Exercise 2 1/2 hours per week
Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
That's it! Yet Dr Kopecky says only 22% of the population manages to eat enough fruits and vegetables and ONLY 3% of Americans comply with all four of the above recommendations!
